The Solar Eclipse of July 22, 2009.
No, not the 80's hit by Bonnie Tyler, but the solar eclipse of July 2009.
Admittedly, not much good if you're relying on solar energy.
Unless of course, you've got the means to store it.
Thankfully, eclipses are rarer in the UK and when they do occur, they don't last very long.
Nonetheless, it's an awe-inspiring event when it does. I clearly remember the last one I witnessed (only a partial one where we were in Derby) in the early '90's. It went very still, the shadows looked all wrong and the birds were silent.
