Job Seekers play detective to seek out Green Companies
Over at My Global Career, I was reading an interesting post about how todays job seekers are having to play detective to track down their dream job with a company that also has the right green credentials.
It's an interesting concept - not just the sourcing 'green companies' to apply to but the suggestion that at the moment it is incredibly difficult to find out details about so many companies green policies and (if any) the impact those green policies are having on reducing that companies co2 footprint.
The measures could be anything from a paperless office to encouraging staff to work from home. Have they invested in renewable energy generation for the office and production buildings?
Perhaps their is a need for such information to be published on behalf of companies by recruitment agencies, or better still, by themselves on their own websites?
Good luck with the job hunting.
