Ahoy! matey's - fish fingers go green...
Spotted over on Business Green last week - This story about Birds Eye launching a new sustainability strategy they're calling Forever Food.
As well as improving water and energy efficiency in the production stages, they're going one step further by investigating biodigestors which would use the production lines scrap food to generate energy.
One example is reducing the size of packaging - smaller packets (which save cardboard) contain less air and therefore require less energy to freeze the contents of a typical box of fish fingers.
