Sunflowers make you smile - in Bognor Regis

If you visit Bognor Regis this Summer, you'll be greeted by thousands of sunflowers.

A veritable Parrots paradise of the sunny blooms awaits travellers to this Sussex seaside town - already famed for having more sunshine hours than any other place in Britain.

The idea was to grow more sunflowers than daylight hours to which end the local council freely distributed seeds to residents, schools and parks.

However, that's turned into an estimated 55000+ sunflowers now growing across the sunny seaside resort.

Sounds like a grand day out to me (but leave your parrot at home just in case!).
