Laying out in the sun and sizzling...
With much of the UK bathed in sunshine and temperatures in the high 20's (and even 30's) at the start of this week, it was perfect weather for laying out in the sun.... if you're a solar panel.
Whilst us humans were turning varying degrees of lobster pink, solar panels up and down the country were producing oodles of solar energy, reducing CO2 output and lowering energy bills to boot.
The best bit is that Solar Panels don't require sun cream, don't crash bar-b-ques and most certainly don't hog the sun umbrella.
What could your roof have been generating this weekend?
Get your online Solar Panel installation quote now. It only takes a couple of minutes but whether your interest is in solar electricity or solar hot water, we can give you an online price in minutes.
Don't waste another moment of sunshine.

Solar panels can offset electric vehicle charging - 'greenly' and cheaply
Electric cars still in their infancy...
The Energy Saving Trust this week reported that British Gas has launched a scheme to install electric car charging points in homes and businesses, in a new deal with Nissan.
Nissan currently produce the Nissan Leaf.
The utility company is also urging owners of electric vehicles to consider charging them with renewable energy.
Using non-renewably generated power means your 'green' car isn't as green as it could be.
In January, we wrote about the Government's £5000 grant scheme for electric vehicle purchases (click here).
It makes perfect sense to recharge electric vehicles with renewable energy so expect similar tie-ins and deals between utility / solar panel installation companies and electric vehicle manufacturers in the future.
Wouldn't it be nice if there was a little deal sweetener involved when buying an electric vehicle for discounts off of installing solar panels etc?
Whether you're installing solar panels to generate electricity for your re-chargeable car or your home, getting an idea of cost is a great first step and our Solar Panel Quoter website can give you just that, in minutes, online without the need for a salesman to call on you.

UK renewable energy supply up 23%
"contribution"
Renewables now contribute 8.6% of the UK's electricity supply as the figure rose by 23.1% in the third quarter of 2010, when compared with the same period last year.
Wind power rose by 37%.
Coal and solid fuel consumption rose by 13.4%, oil by 0.5% while gas consumption fell by 3.6% and primary electricity consumption fell by 18.5%.
Total energy consumption rose 0.3% to 44.2 million tonnes of oil equivalent.
The figures boost belief that the UK can "deliver on its 2020 targets".
Read the full report here.
You can contribute to the figures yourself. Enquire about having your own solar panel installation and you too could be making use of the feed-in tariff, lowering your energy bills and getting paid for the electricity you generate.

Holy Solar Panels Batman!

The Daily Mirror reports religious leaders could collect £29 million for their churches etc just by installing solar panels on church and mosque roofs.
Not only would they be able to sell the electricity generated back to the power companies, via feed-in tariffs - They'd also be able to slash an estimated 5 million of their own energy bills.
Now that's the sort of figure to get those fund raising thermometers rising quickly...
