Attached to the existing roof of the golf cart, the kit by Golf City is claimed to be 30% more efficient than other kits, many of which involve fitting a new roof onto the cart to take teh weight.
The Executive Vice President of Golf City reckons their biggest hurdle is getting people to believe the product works.
Obviously it means storing the cart outside - shut away in a barn or garage will only starve it of sunlight.
But the exec' reckons their solar kits, put onto 50 carts, would save in the region of $60,000 to $90,000 in the first three years.
